Rosemont homeowners eligible for grants
Rosemont property owners are eligible to receive up to $4,055 in individual grants from the village as part of a program now in its 20th year.
A total of $13 million has been given to residents since the village's owner-occupied residential property grant program started. Last year alone, residents received $1 million. The maximum individual grant award was $3,692.
Mayor Brad Stephens said the grants are intended for home improvement projects, but residents can spend the money any way they choose.
The grants are awarded based on a formula involving property values.
Applications are available at village hall and the park district. The deadline to apply is Nov. 30.
