Crystal Lake motorcyclist dies after early-morning crash
A motorcyclist has died from injuries in an early-morning crash on Rakow Road in Lake in the Hills, police said.
A Crystal Lake man driving a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle east on Rakow near Pingree Road rear-ended a 1998 Mercedes about 3:40 a.m. Saturday, police said.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike in the collision.
The man was airlifted to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, where he later died. Police are not revealing his identify, pending the notification of his family.
Police shut down a stretch of Rakow Road for four hours Saturday and continue to investigate the crash.
