Joplin schools chief discusses tornado recovery

C.J. Huff, the superintendent who led the Joplin, Missouri schools back from the deadly tornado of May 2011, will make a public appearance Sept. 25 in Addison to share his story on how the schools recovered from the tragedy. Huff has been invited by the Illinois chapter of the National School Public Relations Association, but the event is open to the public. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at Addison Trail High School, 213 N. Lombard Road, Addison. Tickets are $20 and reservations are required. Visit www.inspra.org for tickets and details.
