Cartoon was an attempt to mislead readers

As a longtime subscriber, I have always read your paper from Page 1 through to the end. However, when I reached your Opinion page Aug. 2, I threw away your paper in disgust! The "political cartoon" by Arial about the fighting in Gaza was so blatantly untrue and biased that I could read no further. The implication that Hamas shot only one rocket at Israel, while in truth they have fired over 2,000 at Israel, is such a misstatement of fact, that publishing it can only be seen as an attempt to mislead your readers and foster prejudice.

This is not the "Big Picture" that your masthead touts. This published "cartoon" is a calculated attempt to alter the news and misinform the public.
