Bring the family out for Ivanhoe Festival

The Ivanhoe Festival will be Sunday, Aug. 17, at Ivanhoe Congregational Church, 21078 W. Hwy. 176, Mundelein.

The festival features a craft show, grilled meal service, bake sale, used book sale, children's activities and live music. The craft show, bake sale and used book sale will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and meal service from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Admission to the event is free, but meals for adults cost $10 in advance and $12 the day of the festival. Meals for children younger than 12 are $6; free for kids ages 3 and younger.

Enjoy either a grilled, marinated chicken breast or sausage sandwich entree. Sides include grilled corn, salads, tomatoes and cucumbers, diced watermelon and a dessert.

Ivanhoe Congregational Church is the oldest organized church in Lake County, established in 1838. The worship service Aug. 17 begins at 9 a.m.
