Hanover Park invites residents to weigh in on 2015 budget

Hanover Park officials are encouraging residents to weigh in on the proposed 2015 budget during a forum Thursday night.

The meeting will allow residents to provide input on the spending plan before village trustees and Mayor Rodney Craig at 7 p.m. in the board room at village hall, 2121 W. Lake St.

Officials have been working to close a projected deficit - estimated at more than $600,000 in earlier drafts - since the start of this year.

On Thursday, the forum could touch on financing for public safety, public works and utilities, according to a news release.
