Former Boys and Girls Club counselor sentenced

A former counselor for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Chicago who was convicted earlier this year of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl has been sentenced to 40 years in state prison.

In a news release, Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez's office says that 45-year-old Zale Hoddenbach of Chicago was sentenced on Monday by Cook County Judge Nicholas Ford.

Hoddenbach was convicted in February of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse for incidents between October 2010 and September 2011 of incidents involving a girl who had come to him for help finding a job.

Hoddenbach is now awaiting trial on child pornography and aggravated criminal sexual assault charges in a case involving another victim.
