Waukegan walking tour in Spanish:

The Waukegan History Museum of the Waukegan Park District and the Waukegan Historical Society will have its first free guided walking tour conducted in Spanish on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. The tour is titled "History of Waukegan," with a focus on some of the city's historic downtown monuments and buildings. It will be led by the Waukegan Park District's Arts and Culture intern Maritza Borjon. It starts at Veterans Memorial Plaza at Washington Street and West Street and will last approximately 1.5 hours. Participants should park on the streets surrounding Washington Park and dress accordingly with comfortable walking shoes, and also bring something to drink. Tours will be canceled in the event of rain or inclement weather. The tour is open to the public and registration will be taken up to the start of the tour.
