Illinois group to display vintage farm equipment

FRANKLIN GROVE, Ill. - Vintage farm equipment including tractors, corn shredders and potato diggers will be on display Saturday and Sunday in northern Illinois.

The Living History Antique Equipment Association is staging the 25-acre exhibition of old-fashioned farm implements in the village Franklin Grove this weekend.

Association President Dave Shaw tells The Telegraph in Dixon the show has doubled in size during the past two decades. About 150 farmers are involved in the group.

Organizers say nearly 400 pieces of machinery will be on view. Some have been restored and are in good condition. Many will be demonstrated during the show.

There's no admission fee, but the association accepts donations.
