Foreclosure prevention program:

A workshop to help homeowners struggling with their mortgage is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at W.J. Murphy Elementary School, 220 N. Greenwood Drive, Round Lake Park. The Mortgage Relief Project is part of the Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network. Free housing counseling is available, and participants will learn to recognize signs of mortgage fraud. Participants need to bring certain information including 2012 and 2013 W-2 and tax returns. Registration is suggested but not required. Call (800) 532-8785 or visit www.idfpr.com.
