Crystal Lake police arrest two on burglary charges

Crystal Lake police said have arrested two men in connection with trespass and burglary to several vehicles in a residential area of the town.

Robert A. Fleenor, 21, of Lake in the Hills, has been charged with criminal trespass to vehicle and burglary. Ryan N. Vette, 23, of Crystal Lake, has been charged with two counts of criminal trespass to vehicle and with burglary.

About 3:50 a.m. Friday, police saw two people approached vehicles parked in driveways in the 600 block of Greenbrier Lane, reports said. Believing the two had or were about to commit unlawful entry to vehicles, officers stopped both subjects, reports said.

An investigation, for which Wauconda police provided a K9 unit, found several unlocked vehicles in the area had been entered and items stolen, reports said.

The two were taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
