Spots for disabled on church lawn

I was surprised to read the article stating that a woman was unable to find a spot in the 500 block of North Main Street where she and her disabled parents could watch the Glen Ellyn 4th of July parade.

First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn at 550 N. Main St. has made their parkway and their hill-slope lawn west of the sidewalk available to the members and the community for parade viewing for at least the last 20 years, calling the event “Fourth at First.”

There was live music, and church members were serving hot dogs, ice pops, and bottled water in return for a donation to PADS. I arrived at the church a few minutes before noon pushing my disabled wife in her wheelchair, and was easily able to find a spot for both of us on the parkway. There were also plenty of hillside spots available on the church lawn.

I don't understand why Ms. Orbegoso felt that there was no place where she and her parents could watch the parade, since my own experience was directly at odds with what she reported.
