World Relief sponsors immigration discussion

World Relief DuPage/Aurora and Missions Place by TEAM will sponsor a screening of the film "The Stranger" to explore immigration reform from a Christian perspective at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at 370 W. Front St., Wheaton.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on immigration and immigration reform with Emily Gray, executive director of World Relief DuPage/Aurora and former missionary to Honduras; Matt Soerens, field director of the Evangelical Immigration Table; and Liuan Chen Huska, whose personal immigration story is featured in the film.

The Wheaton screening is one of more than 1,700 viewings that has taken place across the country since the film was released last month.

The film highlights what supporters say is the moral imperatives for reform, including the immense human costs the current system exacts on churches, families and communities.

The film is available for download at www.thestrangerfilm.org.
