Wisconsin boys, 9 and 4, take another car ride - alone

Associated Press

WEST BEND, Wis. - Sheriff's officials say a 9-year-old boy and his 4-year-old cousin have taken a car on a drive through Washington County for the second time in a month.

Authorities say the West Bend cousins took a car from the older boy's stepfather Sunday and drove through Farmington. Investigators say the boys wanted to go to a park. They ended up in the ditch about six miles away. Neither child was injured.

WISN-TV reports authorities say the same two boys took a car from a boat dealership in Barton on June 14 and drove on two state highways for about four miles. They were trying to drive to their grandmother's house. In that case, witnesses walked up to the vehicle at an intersection, turned off the engine and took the keys before calling deputies.
