Cops, FBI hunting for Aurora bank robber

The FBI and Aurora police were hunting Wednesday for a man who robbed the TCF Bank in a Jewel store on the 1900 block of West Galena Boulevard on the city's far west side.

Authorities said the man entered the bank about 11:40 a.m. and handed a teller a note announcing the robbery and demanding money. He walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said they don't know if he fled on foot or in a vehicle, nor do they know which direction he headed.

Police said the suspect is a black man in his 20s with a mustache who stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing glasses, a baseball hat, a gray, red and blue New York Knicks polo short with a logo on the right sleeve and left breast, dark-colored pants and light-colored gym shoes.

No one was injured.
