West Dundee man accused of assaulting 3 children

A 34-year-old West Dundee man is being held on $500,000 bail, charged with sexually abusing three minors, two of whom were under 12, according to Kane County court records.

Marcus L. Arvizo, of the 35W700 block of Parson Road, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault and eight counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, records show.

Arvizo is accused of assaulting and abusing the children between January 2013 and June 2014, records show.

If convicted of the most severe charge, he faces between six and 30 years in prison.

Arvizo must post $50,000 to be released from the Kane County jail while the case is pending.

He is next due in court on July 11.

Arvizo was previously arrested on Dec. 31, 2012, on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery, records show. He pleaded guilty and successfully completed court supervision.
