Support the campaign for safe drinking water

I was shocked to learn from a recent Environment Illinois report that toxic chemicals and pollutants can be legally dumped into our drinking water reservoirs, Lake Michigan especially. This is happening because of loopholes in the Clean Water Act.

Living in modern-day America, I feel that I should not have to worry about what might be entering my body from drinking tap water from my own sink. The Clean Water Act should live up to its name and provide Americans with clean, safe water. The fact that there are loopholes in this legislation, making all of this legal, outrages me. It needs to be fixed.

I support Environment Illinois and their campaign to "Protect Our Waterways" because we should not ever need to feel uncertain about the quality of our drinking water.
