Gurnee woman fatally shot in Kenosha bar

A 31-year-old Gurnee woman was fatally shot early Saturday in a Kenosha bar, authorities said.

The woman, who police have not identified, was taken to Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center, where she died, Kenosha police said in a news release.

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of M.L. Dale, 24, in connection with the investigation of the slaying, according to the release.

Dale is considered armed and dangerous, police said. He may be in Chicago.

Shortly before 2 a.m., a man with a pistol walked into a tavern on the 2400 block of 52nd Street and opened fire, police said. The woman was the only person struck. The man, in his 20s, then fled the bar, police said.

According to court records, Dale has previous convictions, including ones for battery and disorderly conduct.
