Deadline for Paint-A-Thon applications is July 1
Applications due July 1 for annual Paint-A-Thon of Carpentersville. Each September, they paint 3 or 4 exterior homes for senior citizens and disabled veterans who need some assistance. It will be held on Sept. 6, with a rain date of Sept. 13.
Applications for seniors and disabled veterans can be picked up at the Dundee Township Senior Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville, and in the community development department at the Carpentersville village hall, 1200 L.W. Besinger Drive.
They also are looking for volunteers to paint, as well as donations of paint, brushes, or monetary donations.
