Oakton administrator becoming president of Connecticut college

A top administrator at Oakton Community College is stepping down after being selected as president of a community college in Connecticut.

Carlee Drummer, executive director of Oakton's college advancement and foundation, will spend her last day at the school on Monday. Her retirement was accepted by the college's board of trustees this week.

She begins her new role at Quinebaug Valley Community College in the northeast Connecticut towns of Danielson and Willimantic on July 1.

Drummer was hired at Oakton in 2001.
