Driver leads chase from state park into Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - A driver has been arrested after police say he led officers on a chase topping 100 mph from a northeastern Indiana state park into Fort Wayne.

The Noble County Sheriff's Department says the chase started about 1 a.m. Wednesday after a call about a possibly intoxicated man causing a disturbance while driving around Chain O' Lakes State Park.

WANE-TV reports the man fled from deputies, with the chase taking U.S. 33 into Churubusco (chehr-uh-BUHS'-koh) where he drove over police stop sticks that deflated a front tire. Police say the man continued driving and eventually reached a neighborhood near downtown Fort Wayne.

Officers used a stun gun on the man as they arrested him. Police say no one else was in the car and no injuries were reported.
