Pitching matchups: The White Sox' John Danks (5-5) vs. Matt Cain (1-4) Tuesday at 7:10 p.m.; Chris Sale (5-1) vs. Tim Hudson (7-2) Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.

At a glance: This is the first of two interleague meetings between the White Sox and Giants. The Sox play a two-game set at San Francisco in August. The two teams last met in 2008, when the Sox swept a three-game series at AT&T Park. The White Sox are riding a four-game losing streak. The Giants have dropped three in a row but still have a comfortable lead in the NL West. San Francisco is third in the NL in runs scored (305) and third with a 3.29 ERA. While being swept by the Royals at the Cell over the weekend, the Sox were 3-for-29 with runners in scoring position, and they left 32 on base. Adam Eaton has 3 triples in his last six games.
