Schaumburg hires new transportation director
The village of Schaumburg has named Naperville's assistant director of transportation, Karyn Ann Robles, as its director of transportation, effective June 9. Robles will succeed June Johnson, who retires Tuesday, May 27. Robles is a Schaumburg resident with more than 10 years of experience in her profession. "Karen was our No. 1 candidate, and I am confident that she will be able to step in and effectively assume the director of transportation role," Schaumburg Village Manager Brian Townsend said in a statement. Robles' starting salary with Schaumburg will be $122,000 per year.
