Harper College to hold social media boot camp for small business owners

Harper College will host a four-part boot camp for small business owners who want to get a leg up on social media.

Entrepreneurs will learn a variety of skills, including navigating platforms that best suit their needs during the camp run by the college's Illinois Small Business Development Center.

"What might be right for one company might not be right for another," Director Tom Cassell said in a statement. "It's a case-by-case basis, and it's important to understand when and how to use these tools to help grow that business. We want business owners to understand what is and isn't the best use of their marketing dollars and navigate the complex landscape of social media."

The boot camp is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays from June 3-24 at the Harper Professional Center, 650 E Higgins Road, Suite 18 North in Schaumburg. Tuition is $50 per class or $175 for all four.
