Streamwood police plan roadside check over Memorial Day weekend

Streamwood police will conduct a roadside check for traffic violations during the Memorial Day weekend.

The department will hold the campaign at locations and times that "provide the maximum opportunity" to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol or other substances, police said in a news release.

Officers also will check drivers for other infractions, such as driving without a driver's license, while not wearing a seat belt or without proof of insurance. For details, contact police at (630) 837-0953.
