Warren 12, Vernon Hills 2: Sabrina Trevino's 2-run homer in the sixth inning ended the North Suburban Conference crossover.
Jana Wagner pitched a 2-hitter for host Warren (19-8).
Vernon Hills fell to 6-23.
Grant 8, Richmond-Burton 2: Bri Dreschler and McKenzie Sancken homered for the host Bulldogs in the nonconference game.
Dreschler also doubled and finished 3-for-4, while Sancken was 2-for-4. Deanna Rodriguez went 2-for-3 for Grant (16-8), and Caityn Moran helped her own cause with a double. Moran struck out 10, allowed 5 hits and walked three.
