Ryan Noda punctuated the Grant baseball team's 20th win of the season by belting a grand slam, as the Bulldogs defeated visiting Antioch 13-3 in North Suburban Prairie Division action Wednesday.

Noda also doubled and singled, finishing 3-for-4 with 7 RBI. The home run was his 10th of the season.

Tina Torres added a double for Grant (20-6, 8-2), which remained tied for first atop the NSC Prairie with Lakes and Vernon Hills. Winning pitcher Doug Murphey (3-2) pitched all 6 innings, striking out four.

Collin Prather went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Antioch (4-5 NSC Prairie).

Vernon Hills 12, Round Lake 2: Pat Crowley threw a five-inning complete game, allowing only 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out five, as the visiting Cougars won the North Suburban Prairie game in five innings.

Connor McNamara had another multihit game for Vernon Hills (21-7, 8-2), which remains tied for first place in the NSC Prairie with Grant and Lakes. Tommy Earhart, Joey Marras and Matt Pasko all contributed RBI hits for the Cougars.

Mundelein 5, Stevenson 2: Winning pitcher Michael Metz helped himself with a double, and Luke Peterson tripled and doubled, as the host Mustangs defeated the Patriots for the second straight day in North Suburban Lake action.

Mundelein (26-2, 8-2) also got doubles from Logan Reckert and J.T. Michalski.

Stevenson fell to 11-12 and 4-6 in the NSC Lake.

Libertyville 14, Warren 0: Mitch Townsend was 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI, and Hunter Van Wagner went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, as the visiting Wildcats retained sole possession of first place in the North Suburban Lake.

Jimmy Govern and Evan Skoug (1-for-2) also had 2 RBI apiece for Libertyville (22-5, 9-1). Noah Greenberg was 1-for-3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI, while Andrew Mack pitched a five-inning complete game, striking out five and allowing only 2 hits.

Mike Rosenberg had a double for Warren, which finished with NSC Lake play with a 4-8 record.

Libertyville 1, Warren 0: On Tuesday, Noah Greenberg's RBI single in the bottom of the 11th gave the host Wildcats a walk-off win in North Suburban Lake action.

Each starting pitcher - Libertyville's Jeff Barton and Warren's Andrew Hill - got a no-decision.

Barton threw 9 innings, striking out 10, walking one and scattering 7 hits. Pat Wales earned the win, throwing 2 no-hit innings with 5 strikeouts.

Hill threw 9⅓ innings of shutout ball. He allowed 5 hits, walked four and struck out four.

Dominic Cuevas had 2 hits for Warren. Greenberg's game-winning single was his second hit of the game.
