Barrington students paint village snow plows to celebrate National Public Works Week

The Village of Barrington Public Works Department will mark National Public Works Week 2014 next week with a luncheon and some help from the Barrington High School Arts Club.

One of the highlights of the luncheon, which takes place Tuesday, May 20, at the public works facility, 300 N. Raymond Ave., will be a display of art work painted by club members on the village's snow plows. The paintings follow the theme of "Environmental Preservation."

Village board members, local homeowner association members, village department leaders and their staffs were all invited to attend the luncheon.
