Juvenile charged in fatal shooting of 15-year-old

Chicago police say they have charged a 15-year-old in connection with the shooting death of another 15-year-old boy on the city's South Side.

Vaughn Holeman was shot in the chest and under the arm about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

Police said Monday that Holeman was standing on a street in the West Pullman neighborhood with the shooter when a vehicle drove past. Holeman pointed out the vehicle to the offender, who opened fire, police said. One of the shots struck and killed Holeman.

The shooting suspect hasn't been identified because of his age.
