Junior left-hander Charlie Murphy threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, and Libertyville's baseball team hit the 20-win mark by defeating visiting Grant 5-1 in a North Suburban Conference crossover Friday.

Murphy allowed 1 run, struck out three and walked two.

Libertyville (20-4) was led offensively by Matt Reed (2-for-3, RBI), Hunter Van Wagner (1-for-3, 2 RBI), Jimmy Govern (double) and Evan Skoug (3 walks).

Grant (16-6) got a 2-for-3 effort from Tino Torres and a double and an RBI from Will Zitkus.

Lakes 18, Richmond-Burton 1: The Eagles hammered out 16 hits in the nonconference game.

Lakes (13-8) was led offensively by Justin Corona (2-for-2, 3 RBI, walk, 2 runs), Joe Sisk (3-for-3, double, 2 RBI, 3 runs) and Bryan Gross (2-for-3, double, 3 RBI, 2 runs). Junior Ben Haviland picked up his second win of the season, throwing all 5 innings and allowing just 4 hits.

Harvard 3, Antioch 0: The Sequoits managed only 3 singles - by Sam Smithson, Collin Prather and Bob Hamilton - in their nonconference loss.

Sequoits starter Alex Stava allowed only 1 earned run in 4 innings, striking out six.
