Grayslake Central music 3rd in state:

Grayslake Central High School recently took third place for all Class A schools in a statewide music contest for the 2013-14 academic year. The Grayslake Central music department has ranked in the top 10 in either Class AA or A school divisions for the past 12 years. State ranking was determined by points earned through student music competition events at the Illinois High School Association's solo and ensemble contest. Grayslake Central this year trailed Class A winner Carbondale High School and second place Sycamore High. The final results for the high school music sweepstakes standings for 2013-14 are posted on the Illinois High School Association's website, ihsa.org.
