Kankakee man faces charges in Naperville, Villa Park burglaries

A Kankakee man is being held in DuPage County jail on $80,000 bond, accused of burglarizing two AT&T distribution centers.

DuPage Judge Elizabeth Sexton set bond for Darryl Montique, 23, on two counts of burglary.

Prosecutors allege between April 30 and Monday, Montique stole more than $40,000 worth of computer and phone equipment from two AT&T distribution centers in unincorporated areas near Naperville and Villa Park.

While investigating Monday's burglary near Naperville, sheriff's detectives learned of the earlier Villa Park burglary. The investigation led to the recovery of multiple iPads, iPhones and Toughbook computers stolen from the DuPage locations.

More charges against Montique may be forthcoming because detectives also found items from other AT&T distribution centers, authorities said.
