Auditions for Schaumburg Summer Theatre

Schaumburg Summer Theatre will hold auditions later this month for lead roles, supporting parts, chorus and dancers to be cast in the musical comedy, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum."

Auditions will take place Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22 at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court in Schaumburg. Dance auditions for women and girls only will begin at 6 p.m., and vocal and reading auditions for all participants will begin at 7 p.m. No appointment is needed for the auditions, which are open to all high school and college students (including graduate students 25 and under).

All persons auditioning must prepare a short vocal selection of their choice, under 60 seconds. Cold script readings will be required for a speaking role. Dancers should dress comfortably. A $75 registration fee to participate in the program is due at the audition. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. July 25 and 26 and Aug. 1 and 2.
