Barrington crash kills Fox River Grove motorcyclist

A 19-year-old Fox River Grove man died Tuesday afternoon after suffering serious injuries in a one-vehicle motorcycle crash in Barrington.

The man was identified as Joseph Masino of the 9200 block of Primrose Court by the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Barrington police and paramedics responded to the call to the crash scene at the intersection of Hart Road and Route 14 at 1:38 p.m.

Masino was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he died at 3:36 p.m. as a result of his injuries in the crash, Barrington police reported.

The crash continues to be investigated by both the Barrington Police Department's Major Crash Investigation Team and the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team.

Masino's body remained at the Cook County medical examiner's office Tuesday night pending further examination.
