Italian Panini on Sourdough
1 teaspoon butter
2 slices sourdough bread
3 slices cooked turkey breast
2 slices prosciutto
1 slice mozzarella cheese
2 slices roasted red peppers
2 fresh basil leaves
Heat panini press or medium size pan to medium-high heat.
Place sourdough slices on plate and spread butter on sides to be grilled.
On the inside-facing side, layer turkey breast prosciutto, roasted red pepper and mozzarella cheese; top with second slice of bread.
Place sandwich on press or pan and cook until bread is golden brown and crisp on each side, about 7-10 minutes total. Be careful not to burn the cheese.
Serves two.
