River cleanup day

The village of Lincolnshire will host Chicago River Day on Saturday, May 10, at North Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will work side-by-side on the river bank to collect garbage and recycling, remove invasive vegetation and add wood chips to river-edge trails. Any questions should be directed to Chris Fisher at (847) 913-2365. Register as a site captain or sign up as a volunteer at a clean up site. See Chicago River Day site registration and details. For more information, contact: Austin Kellogg, Friends of the Chicago River, akellogg@chicagoriver.org or call (312) 939-0490, ext. 18.
