Children's book drive runs to May 10

The Woodfield Area Children's Organization is seeking donations for its "Read to Succeed" children's book drive runs that through Saturday, May 10.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to donate new or gently-used books for preschool through junior high students. The books go to hundreds of needy families in the Northwest suburbs. They also will be used for a summer reading program co-sponsored by Weber Grill and WACO.

The Alfred Campanelli YMCA at 300 W. Wise Road in Schaumburg is only one of 22 drop-off sites in the area. For a complete list of book donation sites, go to waco4kids.org.

For more information or to start a book collection on behalf of WACO, contact Geri McCall-Barrath at geri313@comcast.net or (847) 891-9214 or Linda McGill at mcgwillinator@aol.com or (847) 209-5513.
