We want to entertain in yard

After living in this house for 15 years, the yard is in desperate need of help.

Thanks to a contractor working on our basement, the grass next to our patio will never grow back since he threw grout water on it. And thanks to my two huskies for wearing a path around the border of the yard and digging tons of holes, which accounts for the rest of the backyard not having much grass anymore.

We are the "hangout house" for my teenage son and all of his friends. Unfortunately it is too muddy for them to play games in what should be the grassy area; the fire pit is so old and rusted it has become a hazard; the patio furniture is so old that the paint is chipping off; and there is one measly light bulb near the grill so it's impossible to tell if the food is cooked or not.

I want my son to be proud to bring his friends over instead of embarrassed at how bad the yard looks.

As parents we too don't have parties here because it is just too ugly to show our friends.

From the experts:

For sprucing up the patio area, we suggest a Weber Ep310 gas grill and a nice sitting area using #4 Seaside Adirondack charis around a Landmann Stars and Moon fire pit.

A Weber gas grill makes outdoor cooking easy.
The Landmann Stars and Moon fire pit can make cool spring evenings cozy.
Adirondack chairs are comfortable for lounging outdoors.
