Gun-free zones tell bad guys where to go

Another shooting at Fort Hood, and more people have died. Our soldiers are the best in the world, and they are left defenseless. Wait for the police or the MP's, progressive politicians say. The police will protect you progressive, liberals say. Gun-free zones are killing people. What do mass shootings have in common? They have all been in gun-free zones.

Why don't the media report all of the cases in which a concealed carry holder has stopped a crime and saved lives? Why don't the media tell the truth when there is a shooting and the assailant is stopped by a concealed carry holder?

The answer is that it does not fit the liberal progressive agenda of disarming Americans and that their utopian gun-free zones do not work. The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. The fact is clear that concealed carry works; criminals and lunatics are less likely to ply their trade when they do not know who can resist them.

A gun never has to be shown for the deterrence to work. Even if you personally never choose to carry a gun, you benefit from the person who does, because the evil in the world does not know which of you does have a firearm.

The next time you see a sign that has a firearm with the international sign for "no" on it, be aware that if you see the sign so does the crazed lunatic. These gun-free zones are a feel-good measure that does not provide security and only notifies the evil among us where to go to cause the most damage. If gun-free zones work so well, why isn't there one around politicians?
