Tyrell's cltuch hit lifts Antioch

Jessica Tyrell singled up the middle with two out, scoring 2 runs and giving Antioch's softball team a 4-3, walk-off win over Libertyville in North Suburban Conference crossover action Friday.

Hannah Skoog and Jessica Pedersen each had 2 hits for Antioch (6-9). Hannah Cook earned the win.

Libertyville (16-3) got doubles from Tayler Oberman and Taylor Zoellick.

Stevenson 5, Lakes 3: Lexi Yonkovic scored - from second base - on Taylor Koenigs' sacrifice flyball to right field, and the Patriots went on to win the North Suburban crossover.

Stevenson (5-10) trailed 3-2 before scoring 3 runs in the top of the fifth inning. Kat Trotter led off the inning with a double. Koenigs later tied the score with an RBI single, before a passed ball and RBI groundout from Abby O'Connor plated 2 more runs.

Myra Peterson went the distance in the circle for the Patriots, allowing only 1 earned run.

Montana Mang had a double for Lakes.

Lake Forest 16, Vernon Hills 8: Dana Meline had 3 hits, an RBI and a run scored for the host Cougars in the North Sub urban crossover.

Vernon Hills (4-13) got a double and 2 RBI from Danielle Comitor and 2 hits apiece from Sara Lenzi (2 RBI) and Rose Ferolo.

Grayslake North 15, Woodstock North 5: Kelsey Delahunty went 4-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI for the host Knights in the Fox Valley Conference game.

Grayslake North received 3 hits apiece from Kayla Switalla (double, 2 runs), Sarah Littleton (2 RBI, 2 runs) and Mariah Gentile (2 RBI, 2 runs), while Jessica Vaughn contributed 2 hits and 3 RBI. Jenny Moore (2 RBI) and Cassie Cowperthwaite also doubled for Grayslake North. Maddie Terlap had a single and an RBI.

Nikki Livengood pitched a five-inning complete game for the win.

Warren 9, Wauconda 3: Shannon McKeon was 4-for-4 with 3 doubles and 5 RBI to pace the visiting Blue Devils. Jodie Hurd homered for Warren, which beat Kayla Wedl.

Jenny Carpenter picked up the win.
