Boys volleyball

Vernon Hills d. Stevenson: Michael Heinz rolled up 9 kills and 4 digs to lead Vernon Hills to a 25-21, 25-20 NSC crossover victory. Sophomore setter Jared Bennett had 14 assists and 6 digs and continues to get more comfortable in his role. For Stevenson, Jeff Maskalunas, Keenan Herman and Eric Chang all had 3 kills apiece.

Libertyville d. Lakes: Libertyville got 4 kills and 5 digs out of Chris Akers and 4 assists and 9 digs out of Adam Sachs in a 27-25, 25-23 NSC crossover win. Richard Galat led Lakes with 10 kills and 9 digs while setter Colton Jewell had 20 assists.

Lake Zurich d. Antioch: Nick Meyer and Michael Savio each had 7 kills to lead Lake Zurich to a 25-14, 25-5 NSC crossover victory. Pat Bush added 17 assists and 5 service aces for the Bears, who move to 10-6 on the season.

Zion-Benton d. Mundelein: David Everding had 3 blocks, 2 kills and 7 assists but it wasn't enough as Mundelein got swept 25-17, 25-20 and fell to 11-11 on the season.
