Railroad updates in Wheaton will require lights, noise

Union Pacific Railroad crews will be working during the day and night between Friday, April 25, and Sunday, April 27, to do some signal system updates at the College Avenue control point.

Crews will use temporary lighting towers between President and Cross streets. They also will be seen at the crossings between President and West streets.

The project is expected to be noisy and for safety, all trains traveling through the work area are required to blow their horns, officials said.
