FBI director to meet with reporters in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - The head of the FBI is scheduled to meet with reporters in Milwaukee, as part of his effort to visit all of the agency's 56 field offices.
FBI Director James Comey was in Chicago on Monday. There he talked about his agency's efforts to reduce street crime. His discussion in Milwaukee on Tuesday is expected to center on violent crime, counterterrorism, cyber crime and the spread of heroin abuse.
The FBI's Milwaukee bureau is headed by Bob Shields, who was recently named its special agent in charge.
Shields says his goals in the position include helping to create a forensics lab to fight computer-related crime. He helped spearhead similar efforts when he served in the FBI's Illinois office.
