Get help with energy bills Saturday

Des Plaines and Mount Prospect residents looking for help with their energy bills are invited to an energy fair Saturday at the Mount Prospect Public Library.

Residents can apply for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and other energy assistance programs through the Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County, ComEd and Nicor Gas.

Representatives of the Mount Prospect Human Services Department, Des Plaines Health & Human Services Department, Open Communities and Citizens Utility Board also will be at the event.

The fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library, 10 S. Emerson St. in Mount Prospect.
