Melinda Myers gardening seminar:

Nationally recognized gardening expert, TV/radio host, author and Birds & Blooms columnist Melinda Myers will present a "Create Your Own Wildlife Sanctuary, while Deterring Unwanted Guests" on Saturday, April 12, at Pasquesi Home and Gardens, 975 North Shore Drive, Lake Bluff. The seminar, which is 11 a.m. to noon, is free and open to the public. Myers will provide tips on creating a garden, large or small, for attracting colorful wildlife and beneficial insects to the landscape. She will look at plants and accessories that provide food and shelter, and gardening techniques. She will also share tips on managing the unwelcome visitors that seem to find their way into every landscape. Her presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session from noon to 1 p.m. to address attendees' individual gardening questions.
