Jacobs erupted for 20 hits and capitalized on 11 errors in a 30-0, five-inning bombardment of Woodstock North in a Fox Valley Conference crossover Tuesday.

Thirteen Golden Eagles collected hits and 11 drove in at least a run against six Woodstock North pitchers, led by Owen Oreskevich (5 RBI), Ryan Sargent (4) and Brenden Heiss (3).

Winning pitcher Ryan George held the Thunder to to 2 hits in 4 innings with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks for Jacobs (7-2).

Cary-Grove 4, Woodstock 3: The Trojans scored 4 runs in the first inning and Andrew Splitt held the Blue Streaks to 3 earned runs despite allowing 10 hits and a walk in 5 innings. Larkin Hanselmann pitched 2 scoreless innings to earn the save for Cary-Grove (6-4).

Crystal Lake South 8, Hampshire 1: The Gators scored 2 runs in the third, fifth, sixth and seventh innings of this FVC crossover, led by Garrett Bright (2-for-4, 3B, 2 RBI). Junior Matt Schingel tossed a 5-hitter with 6 strikeouts. Seven errors by Hampshire (2-5) doomed starting pitcher Dillon Kuhn, who allowed 6 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits in 6 innings.

Lake Park 12, Dundee-Crown 10: A 3-run sixth inning lifted the Lancers past Dundee-Crown (3-6) in nonconference play. Five Chargers enjoyed 2-hit games, including Chase Bloch (2 RBI) and Brett Johnson (2 RBI). Reliever Vince Damato allowed 4 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits and a walk in the loss.

Metea Valley 9, Elgin 5: Jack Koeckritz (0-1) took the loss in this Upstate Eight Conference crossover. Kiko Mari went 2-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBI for Elgin (2-1, 0-1).

Huntley 4, Grayslake North 1: Nick Constantino held the Knights to an unearned run on 6 hits and 2 walks and struck out 6 in 5⅓ innings, and Mark Skonieczny went 2-for-4 and drove in a run for Huntley (6-2-1).

Streamwood 4, East Aurora 2: Chad Caminitti struck out the last two Tomcats he faced with the tying runs on base to notch a 1-inning save in this Upstate Eight crossover. Winning pitcher Kevin Sojda limited East Aurora to an earned run on 4 hits and 2 walks and struck out 8 in 6 innings, and Kevin Drwal went 2-for-3 and drove in 2 runs for Streamwood (3-3, 1-0).

IC Catholic Prep 4, St. Edward 3: Two of St. Edward's 4 errors led to IC Catholic Prep's go-ahead, fifth-inning run in this Suburban Christian Gold loss. Losing pitcher Jack Tierney was touched for 4 unearned runs on only 2 hits, but he walked six. Tighe Koerhing and Joe Martell doubled for St. St. Edward (1-6-1, 1-1).

Rockford Christian Life 13, Westminster Christian 12: The Warriors scored 4 runs in the top of the sevent to take the lead, but they surrendered 5 runs in the bottom of the frame to drop this Northeastern Athletic Conference matchup. Luke Weston and Brendan Ruffolo each went 4-for-5 and drove in 2 runs for Westminster Christian (1-8, 0-2).
