Arlington Hts. drug take-back event April 26

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Arlington Heights Police Department will coordinate efforts to remove potentially dangerous drugs from homes.

The eighth National Prescription Take-Back Initiative will provide an opportunity for the public to surrender unwanted, expired and unused pharmaceuticals and unwanted over the counter medication to law enforcement officers for their proper disposal.

The Prescription Take-Back Initiative will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Arlington Heights Police Department, 200 E. Sigwalt St. The service is free and anonymous. Tablets, capsules and all other solid dosage forms will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables and syringes will not be accepted.
