'Book of Mormon' announces Chicago return
Get ready to hear the chimes of multiple doorbells once again. The hit 2011 Broadway musical "The Book of Mormon" is making a return to Chicago's Bank of America Theatre next year in one of two national tours starting Tuesday, Feb. 24.
"The Book of Mormon" previously played Chicago for an acclaimed 43-week run at the same theater starting back in late 2012. The irreverent adults-only show by Matt Stone and Trey Parker (creators of "South Park") and Robert Lopez (a co-creator of "Avenue Q" and "Frozen") is the recipient of nine Tony Awards and follows the exploits of two squeaky-clean Utah missionaries who are faced with disturbing superstitions and rampant disease in war-torn Uganda.
"Mormon" will run through May 17, 2015.
Tickets for groups of 15 or more are on sale now by calling (312) 977-1710, while single-ticket sales will be announced at a later date. Visit broadwayinchicago.com for more information.
