Palatine, Conant out front in MSL West

Rachel Chumbook had 6 goals and Caroline Wojtas had 5 to propel Palatine in a 13-7 decision against Schaumburg on Monday in Mid-Suburban West play.

Kim Butler had 10 saves in goal for the Pirates.

Conant 12, Fremd 7: Carmen Rosas (5 goals), Angela Skittone (4) and Sam Wooley (2) led the scoring effort to help the Cougars past the Vikings in MSL West action.

Maddie Demaret had 16 blocks and along with 3 steals. Skittone had 4 steals, and Rosas and Wooley had 3 each for the Cougars.

Palatine and Conant remain unbeaten against MSL West foes at 3-0.

Hersey 23, Elk Grove 4: Katie Lutz led the way with 8 goals as the Huskies powered to an MSL East triumph at Olympic Pool.

Barrington 16, Hoffman Estates 9: The Fillies picked up their first MSL West win against the visiting Hawks.

Wheeling 16, Rolling Meadows 4: Theresa Godlewski scored 12 times to keep the Wildcats tied with Hersey for the MSL East lead.
