Mundelein Lights wins title:

Mundelein High School's all-female show choir, Mundelein Lights, was named grand champion in the unisex division at the 40th Luers Midwest Show Choir Invitational. The event was March 8 in Fort Wayne, Ind. Twenty-one show choirs from Illinois, Indiana and Ohio took part. Competing in the same division, the MHS all-male show choir, SoundFX, took the fourth runner-up position, while Mundelein Sound, the mixed show choir, advanced to the top six championship sing-off where they earned the third runner-up position. During the preliminary awards ceremony, the MHS show choir band known as Noise, earned awards for best pianist (Ryan Eiffert) and best horns.
